Matt Parker and the Deacons is a four-piece band from Myrtle Beach, SC. Matt Parker has played all over the east coast from the legendary CBGBs in NYC to blues attics in Miami, as far west as Texas and everywhere in between. Credited for opening for legendary artists such as Bad Company, Ted Nugent, Eric Johnson, Rehab and many more. The band plays a variety of covers including his personal take on guitar legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Van Halen . Matt Parker’s style is a good fit for many genres of music making him a perfect choice as an opener for almost any national act. Matt Parker & the Deacons also easily have enough material (covers and originals) to fill up a 3 - 4 hour entertainment block. Matt Parker is also known as an original artist with six studio-recorded albums. Setup time with in house PA, including soundcheck takes roughly 50-60 minutes. They also carry full PA and lights, and can provide their own sound engineering, which makes Matt Parker and the Deacons a perfect fit for nearly any occasion.
